The Maritime Museum of Douala is one of Cameroon’s most renowed museums and a historic landmark. Located at the Rue de l’Hôpital in the Bonanjo administrative district within a walking distance from the Centre des Affaires Maritimes and Douala, the museumcollects, preserves and exhibit works and objects of importance relating to the maritime history of Cameroon. With thousands of visitors each year, the Maritime Museum of Douala is one of the tourist most visited places in the city.

2. Cathedral of St Peter and Paul Bonadibong

Located opposite the Mbappe Lepe stadium, the Cathedral of St Peter and Paul Bonadibong is a very nice place to visit in Douala. An imposing Roman Catholic Cathedral, typical of neo-roman architecture, with two twin towers surround the central front. Built in 1936, the Cathedral of Douala is actually an important piece of the historical monuments of Cameroon, based on the legacy of the fathers Pallotins.
