Rusizi National Park

Rusizi National Park is definitely the most famous national park in Burundi. A great place to visit because of its ease of access, beautiful landscape and varied wildlife – hippos, antelope, crocodiles and monkeys. Gustave, the world’s largest man-eating Nile crocodile, often be found roaming on the banks of Ruzizi River.

Mount Heha

Located in the Bujumbura Rural province of Burundi, Mount Heha is the highest mountain in Burundi. Offering hiking with scenic views. At about 2,600 meters, this is the highest in peak in Burundi.

Livingstone–Stanley Monument

This large rock is monument and historic site in Bujumbura, Burundi. Always worth a visit to relive the great experience and a significant part of history of the country. The story allegedly states that this stone marks the spot where Dr. David Livingstone met Henry Morton Stanley.

Lake Tanganyika

Musee Vivant

The Musée Vivant, is small zoo and museum in Bujumbura, Burundi. Nice place to visit and spend the afternoon to admire some crocodiles, local fish, birds, monkeys, and chimpanzees. Various snakes (python, spitting cobra, Gabon viper, mamba just to name a few).
