Darkhana Jamatkhana

The building dates to the 19th century, and was then being used by the German governor during the colonial times. After series of damages, the building has been completely restored and refurnished throughout. Today serves as the official residence and workplace of the Tanzanian President. Tourists are allowed to visit the exteriors of the state house, for it is one of the few beautiful and historical buildings in the city.
