Best New African Music This Week: Lojay, Wande Coal, Tomi Thomas, Angélique Kidjo, and More 

New month, new music. In this week’s roundup of the Best New Afrobeats Songs, Lojay & Sarz connected with Wizkid on “LV N ATTN,” a standout on his EP of the same name. Angélique Kidjo and Sting connected on their environmental awareness anthem, “Mother Nature” released on June 5, the United Nations’ World Environment Day which was Saturday. Wande Coal made magic with DJ Neptune on the smooth amapiano track “Music Messiah.” And Tomi Thomas linked with Buju Banto for their danceable afrofusion summer record “Hurricane.” Mr Eazi, MI Abaga, Sarkodie, and Amanda Black also released new music.
