The Cave Church

The Cave Church, also known as the St Simon Monastery is one of the largest churches in the Egypt. Located in the Mokattam mountain in an area called the Garbage City. An incredible large Orthodox church which can accommodate as many as 20,000 worshippers. A nice place to walk around, and see beautiful large carvings of Biblical stories and verses on the walls of the mountain. A pretty awesome site, it’s definitely worth the visit!

Khan el-Khalili

Khan el-Khalili is a world renowned bazar in Cairo, Egypt. Arguably the souk in Cairo right in the historic center of Islamic Cairo. This is a main attraction for tourists – a magical place where you can find all the handcrafts and handmade articles. A great market for cheap souvenirs for family and friends. Rhoda Island

This is located on the Nile in central Cairo. The Al-Manyal Palace Museum and El-Manial district are located on the island. The island is home to one of the oldest Islamic buildings in Egypt, the Nilometer.

It is located in the Sharia Al-Saray area in the El-Manial district of southern Cairo. Here you can see and experience the beauty of Islamic and French decoration in one place. The palace and residence of late prince Mohammed Ali Tawfiq. The Manial Palace and Museum consists of 3 buildings; the family residence, one is the throne building, and the visitors building. Extravagantly constructed and very well maintained. Every roof of the palace has a different design. A must visit place in Cairo!
